The information we collect
When you complete the enquiry form on this website, we ask for:
- your name
- your email address
- your organisation, if you give one
- your telephone number, if you give one
- the service you are enquiring about
- the details of your enquiry, which may include a property address
We also hold information you send us directly by email, telephone or post, including correspondence about work we have quoted for or carried out.
If you apply for a vacancy, we hold the CV and supporting information you send us by email.
We do not ask for special category data. Please do not include health information or other sensitive personal details in an enquiry unless it is necessary for us to understand the work required.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- Responding to enquiries and preparing quotations. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to a request you have made of us.
- Carrying out work and managing our contracts. Where you are our customer, our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
- Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations, including health and safety records and accounting records. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
- Considering job applications. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely assessing candidates for a role, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use your information for automated decision making or profiling, and we do not sell it.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services on it, and we do not build a profile of your visit. You can read the site without being identified.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, in order to run the service securely and reliably.
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where we need to:
- Resend, which delivers enquiry form submissions to us by email
- our website hosting provider, which serves this site
- Microsoft, which provides our email service
- our accountants and professional advisers, where relevant
- a housing provider or managing agent, where we are carrying out work on their behalf and they need details of the job or appointment
- anyone we are required to share it with by law
Where your information is held
Information is held on systems in the UK and Europe. Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months
- Customer and contract records: 6 years after the end of our relationship, to meet accounting and legal requirements
- Job applications from candidates we do not take on: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for longer
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete information, in certain circumstances
- ask us to restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances
- object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests

- withdraw your consent, where we rely on consent
